GMRS-X1 FAQ
Q: What does GMRS stand for?
A: It stands for General Mobile Radio Service.
Q: How far can I transmit with this model?
A: This model has a range up to 5 miles.
Q: What if I don't want to mount this unit onto my
helmet?
A: You can purchase a belt clip and a headset extension cord and clip
it to your belt. Or you can put in a fanny pack. Be creative...
Q: How long should I charge the battery and how long
does the battery last.
A: You should charge the battery for 8-10 hours. And the battery
should last about 9 hours of talk time.
Q: Is the GMRS X1 noise reduction?
A: Yes.
Q: I ride with a passenger, what do you need to
hook up a passenger?
A: This model has a full duplex intercom. All you would need is a
noise reduction headset depending on full face or open face, and a noise
reduction headset extension cord. Plugs right into the back of the drivers unit.
Q: Can I listen to music with the GMRS X1?
A: Yes. With a purchase of an audio cord you can plug in your own
CD player, MP3, walkman, etc.....
Q: Why does my unit keep cutting in and out?
A: First make sure that your battery is fully charged. Second Turn
the unit off for 5 seconds, and turn the dial to about 3 o'clock position. Third
Blow into the Microphone and see if it activates. Turn the dial down to your
preference.
